Installation Guide
1. System Requirements
To successfully install and run Daffodil Replicator, you need the following minimum system requirements:
Computer/Processor: | IBM-PC or compatible with a Celeron 700 MHz microprocessor. |
Operating System: | Windows?? , Linux?? |
Memory: | 128 MB of RAM (256 MB recommended) |
JAVA: | Install the JRE 5 or above. To download a recent version of Java, click the link: Sun Java Standard Edition SDK |
2. Installation
To install Daffodil Replicator, perform these steps:
- Click on the Download Daffodil Replicator (E) Download button and follow the instructions.
- After Downloading the Replicator you need a license file. which was sent to you by mail on the email id you registered with us at the time of replicator download for first time.
- The jar file you have downloaded is an executable file. You can run this jar file by double clicking if you have some issue in that then you can use following command on the console
- To run the Replicator or Replication Data Source, you have to make environment variable named REPLICATOR_HOME and you have to give the path of any folder in this variable value and put the license file in that folder.
Step By Step Installation
Begin with Running the ReplicatorSetup_3.4.0.jar file.

- Click Next button to begin Setup process.
a) Choose Components
Select component to install

Like in above example only Replicator component is selected for installation. You can select any component.
Click Next button to proceed.
b) Set Configuration Detail
You have to configure each component by providing the required information in Configuration form.

Different data fields in Configuration form are:
?? IP Address ???IP address of the system where you want to start the Data Source / Replication Data Source.
?? Port No. ??? Enter the HTTP Server port. HTTP Server transfers the XML file from one replication Data Source home to another Replication DataSource home.
?? SSL Required ??? Check this check box if HTTPS required.
?? Log Mail id- To send application error message to the given mail id.
c) Choose Installation Location
Here you select the installation path where you want to install Daffodil Replicator. You can use Browse Button for select the location.

After click on Browse Button a Select Installation path Dialog box is appears as bellow:

Note: If you want to create a new folder, click the New Folder option after selecting a directory where you want to create that folder.Enter information in different data fields and click the Next button to proceed.
You can also use Back button to change the last 3 steps.
Click Next button to begin installation. And you can see the below installation Progress screen:

After the installation progress completes. Click the Next button.
d) Create Shortcuts & Launch User Guide
In this step you can tell the wizard for create shortcuts. Check the checkbox where you like to create shortcut.

For viewing the User guide for product detail check the Show user guide checkbox.
3. Modification / Uninstallation
You can also modify the product (by adding/removing component) or uninstall components/product from your system.

Choose between you required operation:
1) Modify (Add/Remove Components)
2) Remove (Complete Uninstallation of Product)
Click on Next Button to proceed.
Note: This feature is only work when you have already installed Daffodil Replicator product.
a) Choose a component for Install/Uninstall
If you select modify (default option) you will find the current state of components (Which component is installed/not installed in your system).

Here in this screenshot you can see the Replicator Component is installed and Replicator Data source component is not installed.
Type of Modification:-
Install new component: To install a component which is not installed previously, simply checked the component.
Uninstall a component: To uninstall the component which is already installed, simply uncheck the component.
Note: This Modification step not do any thing if you not change the state of any component.
b) Complete Uninstallation of Daffodil Replicator
If you select Remove option you will find the summary of all installed components going to uninstall.
Screen - Complete Unistallation
Here you can see 2 product (Replicator and Replication Data Source) components are installed in different location.
Click on Remove button to Complete Uninstall the Daffodil Replicator from your system.
