1. What is Daffodil Replicator (E)?

  Daffodil Replicator (E) is a Java tool for data synchronization, data integration, data migration, and data backup between various database servers. Daffodil Replicator supports following databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Daffodil DB, DB2, Derby, MySql, PostGreSql, Firebird.

Daffodil Replicator can support any database that comes with JDBC connectivity. You can send the request for the support of any other database, which is currently not supported by Daffodil Replicator, through user forum.
 

2. How long does it take to install Daffodil Replicator (E)?

  There is no need for separate installation of Daffodil Replicator. You need to download Daffodil Replicator. After downloading, include the driver jars (in which you want to perform replication) in the lib folder and start the . bat/.sh file.
 

3. What is the minimum hardware configuration for Daffodil Replicator (E)?

  Yes, it supports Real time and Periodic replication. Daffodil Replicator (E) provides scheduling which permits replication in two modes - Real time and Non real time. In Real Time mode of replication, replication process specified in schedule will be performed continuously without any time delay. When you commit the records after performing any operation on database, it gets reflected on both the sides. Whereas, in Non-Real Time (Periodic) mode of replication, a time period can be assigned by you for the replication process to take place. You can add a schedule and specify the time duration, such as yearly or weekly.
 

15. Does Daffodil Replicator (E) include any provision of monitoring the replication process?

  No there is no provision in of monitoring the replication process in Daffodil Replication (E).
 

16. Is there any option provided for Debugging in Daffodil Replicator (E)?

  Yes, Daffodil Replicator (E) provides the facility of debugging using ‘Log4j' file. In this file, user can set the logging option according to the requirement. You can set various debug level to control the amount of logging. The debug levels are: Warn, Error, Fatal, Debug, Info, Off, and All.

  Yes, the user can configure the Replication Home according to the requirement. Replication Home is a directory where all the log files, report files, and temporary files are stored.
