Configuring Settings for Replicator
The steps to configure settings for Replicator:
- Click the
Configure menu in the
Replicator window to display the option
Configure Replicator, as shown in the following figure:

- Click the
Configure Replicator option. Following dialog box appears:

Different data fields in
Configure Replicator dialog box are:

Replication Home – Enter the path of the folder where all the log files, report
files, and temporary files are stored during replication process.

System IP Address – Enter the IP address of the system where you installed
Replicator.

FTP Service Port No. – Enter the FTP Server port. FTP server transfers the XML
file from one replication home to another.

Max Download Speed – Enter the maximum download speed.

Max Idle Time – Enter the maximum idle time.
-
Max Upload Speed – Enter the maximum upload speed.

HTTPS Required – Enable this checkbox if you want the support of HTTP over SSL
(HTTPS).
- Click
button on the
Configure Replicator dialog box to select the folder for Replication Home.
Select User Home dialog box appears as follows:

If you want to create a new folder for Replication Home, click the
New Folder option after selecting a directory where you want to create that
folder.

- After selecting the folder for Replication Home, enter the values in different data
fields and enable the
HTTPS Required checkbox on
Configure Replicator dialog box. Enabling the
HTTPS Required checkbox,
User Name and
Password textboxes appears as shown in the following figure:

- Enter the user name and password required by the web server to verify the
authenticity of the user. After entering the information in these data fields, click the
OK button to save the configured settings for Replicator.
Configuring Settings for Replication DataSource
The steps to configure settings for Replication DataSource:
- Click the
Configure menu in the
Replication DataSource window to display the option

- Click the
Configure Replication DataSource option.

Different data fields in
Configure Replication DataSource dialog box are:

Replication Home – Enter the path of the folder where transaction logs, error log,
and XML files are created.

System IP Address – Enter the IP address of the system where you installed
Replication DataSource.

FTP Service Port No. – Enter the FTP Server port. FTP server transfers the XML
file from one replication home to another replication home.

Max Download Speed – Enter the maximum download speed.

Max Idle Time – Enter the maximum idle time.
-
Max Upload Speed – Enter the maximum upload speed.

Web Service Port No – Enter the port number on which you want to run the web
services required for the replication of data through Internet.

HTTPS Required – Enable this checkbox if you want the support of HTTP over SSL
(HTTPS).
- Click
button on the
Configure Replication DataSource dialog box to select the folder for Replication
Home.

If you want to create a new folder for Replication Home, click the

- After selecting the folder for Replication Home, enter the values in different data
fields and enable the

HTTPS Required checkbox,

- Enter the
user name and password required by the web server to verify the authenticity of the user. After
entering the information in these data fields, click the
OK button to save the configured settings for Replicator.
Note: You need to configure settings for Replicator and Replication DataSource
when you want to replicate data over Internet.
